Wildeberg White, 2019
“An impressive follow up to the 2018 white, this is another varietal Semillon. … Matured in 50% new 500-litre barrels, it has lovely wax, green herb and lanolin notes, tangy acidity and just a hint of lemon peel bitterness.”
Included among only four Semillons listed in the ‘Wines of the Year’.
Coterie by Wildeberg Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, 2019
“Coterie is Semillon based with 20% Sauvignon Blanc. … Lightly wooded, with some lees contact, it has a lovely combination of cream, citrus, basil and vanilla spice with an undertow of pithy, herbal acidity.”
Wildeberg Terroirs Series Chenin Blanc, 2019
“All naturally fermented, it’s fresh, taut and intensely aromatic, with pear, citrus and fynbos notes, leesy complexity and a dry, chiselled finish.”
Part of the Old Vine Project, planted in 1977.
Wildeberg Terroirs Series Sauvignon Blanc, 2019
“Pale, dry, floral and intense, this is a smart, restrained Sauvignon Blanc from JD Rossouw. … Showing waxy, lees-derived notes, subtle stony reduction and flavours of citrus, grapefruit and lemon verbena framed by vivid acidity.”
Wildeberg Red, 2019
“An intensely perfumed marriage of Syrah with 10% Cabernet Franc, unfurling aromas of ginger, sage, lavender and pepper spice. The palate is fresh and savoury with a core of ferrous blackberry fruit.”
