Awards Season: Our 2021 Medal Winners

The highlights from this year’s awards

Fortunately, we’re pleased to say that this year again a number of our wines brought home some fantastic results. This highlights yet again the quality of our offering and brings much-deserved recognition for the hard work our winemakers put in throughout the year! Here’s a selection of just a few of the stand-out gold medal winners:

Berliner Wine Trophy

Shadow Point Chardonnay, 2019

Berliner Wine Trophy Gold + Gilbert & Gaillard Gold

Following the launch this year, we’re so pleased to announce the Shadow Point Chardonnay, 2019 received a coveted gold medal at the Berliner Wine Trophy & Gilbert and Gaillard International Competition. 

 

Le Petit Chat Malin Blanc, 2020

Berliner Wine Trophy Gold + Gilbert & Gaillard Gold

Le Petit Chat Malin, aka the Cunning Little Cat, got purrrfect scores this year, winning gold medals this year at the Berliner Wine Trophy and Gilbert and Gaillard International Competition.

Long Little Dog Rouge, 2020

Gilbert & Gaillard Gold + Berliner Wine Trophy Gold

Made from specially selected grapes harvested in the Languedoc region of Southern France, the Long Little Dog Rouge got its’ paws on a gold medal at the Gilbert & Gaillard International Competition.

Arc du Rhône Maitrise du Terroir Côtes du Rhône Blanc, 2020

Gilbert & Gaillard Gold

A refined Southern Rhône blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette & Marsanne. This wine displays a great balance between stone fruits, delicateflowery notes and a creamy texture. We are so pleased to see this wine win a gold medal. If you are not familiar with the unique whites of the southern Rhône, this is a great example of Côtes-du-Rhône blanc.

Mundus Vini

Font de Notre Dame Gigondas, 2019

Mundus Vini Gold 

One of the latest additions to our portfolio is this wonderful Gigondas from a small Domaine, based at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmiral. Domaine la Font de Notre Dame Gigondas earned a well deserved gold medal at the Mundus Vini awards. The wine is showing beautifully now and available to collect from our ‘one stop shop’ in Mâcon.

Henners Vintage, 2014

International Wine & Spirits Competition Gold + International Wine Challenge Gold

More good news for the winemaking team at Henners Vineyard with an IWSC gold and 95 points awarded to the Vintage 2014. “Restrained, gentle apple aromas with touches of spice bacon and herbs. Subtle pear fruit and almond patisseries, layers of apple complexity throughout. taut mousse with great potential to age thanks to the zippy acidity.”
