Arc ‘Maitrise du Terroir’ Cru Cairanne AOC 2018

Boutinot France

Arc du Rhône is named after the classified group of villages which together line up to form a geographical arc across the valley of the southern Rhône known locally as the ‘arc of gold’. The village of Cairanne at the western tip of this arc of gold.

Meet the producer

Like all good stories, that of Boutinot France is both long and a little bit complicated! Boutinot began as a tiny importer...

Cairanne is the newest appellation to be awarded Cru status and is home to lovely Grenache and Syrah (and a touch of Mourvedre), which our winemaker Julien Dugas, carefully selects for the perfect balance of fruit, spice and tannins. Following traditional fermentation in stainless steel vats, 20% of the wine is aged in oak barrels.

Tasting notes

This impressive red is at once richly fruity and immediately appealing; the palate is smooth and full-bodied with a luscious texture and a long finish. Accessible and enjoyable!

Food match

Serve with a host of dishes ranging from traditional meats to rocket salad with duck and, of course, quality French cheeses.
