Grapes are sourced from the northern end of California's long Central Valley. Malbec here benefits from the cooling influence of San Francisco Bay, so grapes retain freshness. After fermentation, 70% of the Malbec is aged in oak for 4 months, giving good integration and subtle oak characteristics. A small percentage of Syrah is blended into the wine before bottling to give some extra structure to this plush red wine.
Juicy and full bodied with plenty of blackcurrant and blueberry fruit, velvety tannis and great freshness.
Great with rich and hearty food such as a casserole or veggie chilli con carne.
