Production
Campo de Borja, a DOP in Aragon in northern Spain, got its name from the Borja family, known in Italy as Borgia as a powerful and wealthy noble family. The climate here is rather severe and arid, with hot, dry days and cool nights. This delicious rosé is made from 100% Garnacha grown on poor, stony soils in the foothills of the Moncayo mountain. The wine had 6 hours of cold maceration followed by long slow fermentation at a controlled temperature.
Tasting notes
Bright aromas of red berry fruit. The palate is packed with juicy strawberry and raspberry characters, fresh acidity and a touch of creaminess on the finish.
Food match
Perfect with summer salads.
