Production
From selected vineyards in the Rioja Alta. The climate here is a mix of Atlantic, continental and Mediterranean with hot summers and cold winters. The climate is varied across the terroirs, which have a mixture of calcareous, ferrous clay and alluvial soils giving silky, fruity flavours to the grapes. Produced from selected Tempranillo grapes sourced in Rioja Alta. Fermentation at 24ºC to 26ºC with 8 to 10 days maceration on the skins. No oak ageing. Bottled early.
Tasting notes
Modern, unoaked tempranillo with juicy red fruits, soft spice and a pleasantly fresh finish. Approachable and easy to drink with gentle tannins.
Food match
Perfect alongside red meat dishes such as BBQ pork ribs or a juicy steak. Also great with spicy vegetarian tagine, and well-aged, hard cheeses.
